get TABC Seller-server training today

A seller-server training program helps new and current alcohol servers keep up to date on laws and regulations that govern the sale of alcohol in Texas.

This TABC Seller-Server Training Course is modeled after the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Code and has been approved by the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission. It is periodically updated to stay current with the Beverage Code and to improve quality. Our course is available in English and Spanish.

The TABC is the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission. This is the agency in charge of the administration of the Alcoholic Beverage Code in the state of Texas. As such, TABC certification is an important step for anyone who hopes to work in the food and beverage industry where alcoholic drinks will be sold. While certification is not required by the state, it is often a requirement of employment. So, you may need to complete your TABC certification before you can start work, or you might decide to pursue it before going on interviews to make yourself more attractive as a candidate.

Responsible Beverage certification meaning

Anyone who works in a place that serves alcohol (restaurant, bar, food truck, or convenience store) should hold a Responsible Beverage Service Certificate to show they understand the laws regarding alcohol sales.

Knowledge of alcohol laws can better protect you against legal repercussions

Server-Seller training will better prepare you to do your job and serve customers appropriately and safely

Many different situations can come up while working in a server-seller role, and you might not have the knowledge needed to deal with those circumstances if you did not to complete the training process.

how to use Responsible Service Certificate

Holding a Responsible Beverage Service Certificate shows employers that you have passed the minimum requirement of understanding the laws governing the sale of alcohol.

When applying for jobs, you may call yourself a "Responsible Training Responsible Beverage Service Certificate Recipient". You can refer to your "Responsible Training Responsible Beverage Service Certificate" on your resume.

You may not say or imply that you are "certified," "certificated," "licensed," "registered" or "accredited"; these terms indicate a different type of program than seller-server training.
